A month of August full of art for the Glen Arbor Arts Center

Express your creative side with a trip to the Glen Arbor Arts Center!

August has so many exciting things going on at the Arts Center!

This weekend, August 6 and 7, the 12th edition will take place Outdoor Painting Weekend an event. Painters from the Midwest and Michigan will participate in two outdoor painting competitions and participate in two exhibitions of original works. the To paint the exhibition and sale present the works of 70 artists, and the public can come and see them in action.

Numerous exhibits are also on display at the Glen Arbor Arts Center this month. Food is art / Art is food will present documentary, surreal, abstract, 2D and 3D creations, and many more different types of media inspired by our true love – food.

the Clothesline exhibition is a small open-air exhibition featuring works inspired by wildlife. You can see this rain or this beautiful weather.

the Amy L. Clark-Carels The exhibit is presented indoors where you can see beautiful watercolors from the Michigan native.

A fun activity for kids and adults to participate in is the Small free art gallery exhibited in front of the Arts Center. The Arts Center even provides free art supplies in the back that can be used anytime! Everyone is welcome! Do not hesitate to make a creation and exhibit your work in the small gallery!

And while you make a little creation in the back for the Small free art gallery, be sure to check out the fairy garden! Cute small and tiny works of art are displayed all around the back of the arts center. Take a close look and see if you can find them all, or add your own personal piece to the garden!
