NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) – Creative minds are responsible for the things that stand out around us. Buildings, walls and clothing all get a touch of fashion. This concept takes place here, as part of Nashville Design Week.
That bluish light in a Nashville studio didn’t happen by accident. Lighting designers like Meagan Backes choose what works.
“You’ll see it here in restaurants, in children’s classrooms, offices, outside in the parking lot,” Backes said.
Lighting ideas are the reason Backes came to Nashville Design Week, where architects, buildings and fashion designers come together for inspiration.
“All that kind of people and they get together and say hello, I’ve got things to see,” Backes said.
Ideas turn into reality like the Batman Building in Nashville, a bold and creative design. So who knows where Metro Art’s children’s creations might one day lead.
Creations seem to happen here every day, that mural of a building off Trinity Lane or a car filled with graphics. And other ideas are simmering in the kitchen.
“Hey, we have someone, a chef. They are there to imagine what the restaurant is like, the menu, the interior design so that someone can go and enjoy a meal.”
