Students at ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena have won 18 awards in the prestigious Core 77 Design Awards competition for 2021.
The competition’s sponsor, Core 77, is a publication that has served a global audience of industrial designers, ranging from college students to seasoned professionals, since 1995.
The Core77 Design Awards recognize excellence in all areas of the design business and annually celebrate the richness of the design profession as well as the insight and persistence of practitioners.
Of the more than 200 designs honored by the Core 77 Design Awards jury teams this year, 16 were designed by ArtCenter students and recognized as winners, notable or finalists.
âWe are incredibly proud of our students,â said Karen Hofmann, ArtCenter Principal Marshal. âThis high-level recognition from leaders in the field of design is a tribute to the exemplary talent and dedication of our community of students, faculty and support staff. “
Hoffman added that the awards are validation of the innovative work the ArtCenter community continues to create to create “reality-based solutions with the potential to positively impact lives.”
