Columbus to host the WonderBus Festival, Emmy nominated comedians and craft markets this week

Friday August 27

  • Tyler Rich 7 p.m. at the Bluestone ($ 15)
    • Country artist Tyler Rich is sure to wow spectators this Friday at the former Baptist Church turned event venue, The Bluestone.

Saturday August 28

  • WonderBus: Kesha, AJR, Ritt Momney in concert 12 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at The Lawn at CAS ($ 109)
    • WonderBus Music & Arts Festival attendees will be among the stars as prominent musicians Kesha, AJR and Ritt Momney take the stage, among other performers.

Thursday September 2

  • Easton unplugged 6 to 9 p.m. at The Yard at Easton Town Center (FREE)
    • Donna Mogavero has been part of the Columbus music scene for decades. She will bring a touch of folk and rock ‘n’ roll to this week’s Easton Unplugged acoustic show.
  • MojoFlo at DownTown Live 6 p.m. at Columbus Commons (FREE)
    • Warning: this show may be too funky for the faint of heart. MojoFlo and its lead singer, Amber Knicole, will bring jazzy instrumental and vocal talent to the Columbus Commons.


Friday August 27

  • Pearl Farmers Market 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Gay Street and Pearl Alley
    • Open until October, this market offers fresh produce from local farmers, in addition to live music and freebies.

Saturday August 28

  • Not your mom’s indoor / outdoor craft market 3 pm-8pm at Via Vecchia Winery (FREE)
    • The Via Vecchia winery will serve wine and signature cocktails in an indoor bar alongside food trucks and other vendors which will be located on a large outdoor patio. It is the perfect place to spend one of the last days of summer.

Wednesday September 1

  • The comic wine tour 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Via Vecchia cellar ($ 11)
    • This nationwide comedy tour, made up of comedians performing and tasting at craft venues across the country, will stop at Via Vecchia Winery.


Friday August 27

  • Kevin nealon 7:45 p.m. at the Columbus Funny Bone Comedy Club ($ 35)
    • The first of four performances, Emmy-nominated comedian Kevin Nealon will have his audience in stitches at the Columbus Funny Bone Comedy Club.

Saturday August 28

  • Red Herring presents The Children 8 p.m. at the Red Herring Theater Company ($ 30)
    • This grim performance tells the story of three former nuclear physicists who once worked together at a nuclear power plant and who must come to terms with their pasts after an unimaginable disaster strikes at their former workplace.


Friday August 27

  • Fitness yoga in the square 8:30 a.m. at Town Square in downtown Easton (FREE)
    • Life Time Fitness instructors will lead a yoga class focused on strength, conditioning and flexibility. Those who wish to start their Friday morning flexibly should arrive early, as socially distanced participation is allowed on a first come, first served basis.
  • Open game and beach bar 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. at the Barefoot Bar at Volleypark ($ 10)
    • The Volleypark brings the beach to Columbus, and this Friday will be a chance for Columbus residents to enjoy free volleyball, karaoke starting at 8:30 p.m. and the near oceanfront atmosphere for $ 10.

Saturday August 28

  • Class of service advice 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Urbn Timber ($ 175)
    • Notice to all connoisseurs of charcuterie! This workshop will allow students to choose their preferred type of wood and be guided through the process of sanding, shaping and finishing the wooden serving board of their dreams.
