As if Toia wasn’t busy enough, her site’s “The Working Professional” section highlights three internships: marketing intern at Waterworks Luxury Bath and Kitchen; editorial intern at Luxe Interiors + Design Magazine; and most recently, an intern at 305 Worldwide, a full-service multicultural agency launched by Horizon Media and Grammy Award-winning artist Pitbull.

“When it came to working with clients and creating campaigns for 305 Worldwide, it was a really good internship because I worked laterally in every part of the agency – accounts, strategy, and creative,” says You had. “I had hands-on experience that involved synthesizing research to develop new business ideas, briefing the creative team, contributing campaign ideas during creative brainstorming, creating mock-ups to use in client presentations, developing a social media plan and creating content in addition to account responsibilities.

Toia’s confidence to sit at the table with some of the world’s top 305 executives comes from experience. “The Bentley courses provided in-depth business consulting experience covering the creation of a retail expansion plan for Tracksmith, a comprehensive business plan (for Mamie’s Pies) and a marketing plan (for The Organic Project),” Toia says of courses like the Business Immersion Course. with marketing speaker Erin Flynn. Students work with senior executives from Bentley partner companies to solve a real business problem. “That’s what sets Bentley apart from other schools: you learn not just as a student, but as a professional. These large-scale projects are perfect examples to rely on during job interviews.

Toia’s advice to students: “You should always set your sights on a goal you want to achieve, then sit down and develop the strategy to start making it a reality.”
