On Día de Muertos Day, people in Mexico and elsewhere in Latin America light candles, spread flower petals, and cook meals loved by their ancestors. The day, also known as the Day of the Dead, celebrates loved ones who have passed away.
In keeping with tradition, Pokemon Go’s festivities will feature both floral Pokemon and death-themed ones.

Raid boss change
Friday at 10 a.m., you’re going to start seeing a new set of raid bosses on Gyms. Thursday will be the last day (for now) where you can see Darkrai and Mega Absol, as they will be replaced by the Swords of Justice. (Cobalion, Terrakion and Virizion) and Mega Electrical, respectively. We do not yet know who will occupy the lower levels of the raids.
Until Friday, however, here’s who you’ll find:

Festival of lights
Also from Friday, the Festival of lights Event. Most of the details are currently unknown, but the event has been described as a celebration of “light overcoming darkness”. It runs until November 14.
Some trainers have pointed out that the event loosely matches the dates of Diwali, which is a festival of lights, so it is possible that it was themed to celebrate the real world.
The spotlight hour and the raid hour
As usual, there will be a Spotlight Hour and a Raid Hour this week.
Spotlight time: Tuesday November 2 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time, Cacnee will be in the spotlight. Cacnea’s appearances will be greatly increased and you will receive double candies for all sockets.
Raid time: On Wednesday November 3 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., the weekly Raid Hour event will feature Darkrai. Level 5 raids will spawn in almost any gym, and every Darkrai caught will know it Mud bomb.
There is quite a bit of news and other information that trainers should take note of this week, especially with the start of a new month. Here is a preview.
Vullaby research breakthrough
For the month of November, Vullaby will be the meet reward for a breakthrough in research. This change will begin at 4:00 p.m. EDT on November 1, so if you want another Yamask, you’ll need to open your Research Breakthrough before that time.
The Pokémon featured for Community Day in November has been announced. On November 21, Shinx will be the Special Community Day Pokémon. Luxray evolved during the event window and until two hours later, will experience the exclusive Psychic Fangs movement.

Kanto Cup Player Choice
Niantic conducted a Twitter poll to decide which special tournament is the “player’s choice” for the Go Battle League. The winner has been announced and the Kanto Cup won. From November 8 to 22, the Kanto Cup will be available alongside the Master League and Master League Premier Classic.
Here are the rules of the Kanto Cup:
Pokemon must have 1,500 CP or less
Pokémon must be native to the Kanto region, but regional variants are allowed
For example, Kantonian and Alolan Exeggutor are both allowed
Niantic showed during his initial Season of Mischief announcement that Hoopa’s special search, Misunderstood Mischief, will unfold in stages over the course of the season. Their graph showed two new stages to come in November, so we should see them soon.
Remember that completing the Misunderstood questline before the season ends will unlock a new questline End of november.
Every Monday in November there will be a bundle in the shop for 1 Poke Coin. Each week, the lot will contain a remote raid pass as well as a few other articles. The other items are usually basic supplies like berries, Poke / Great / Ultra Balls, different potion levels, etc.
Mega Houndoom CP Boost
Remember that another Mega Evolution will receive a CP boost throughout the Season of Malices. In November, Mega Houndoom will have a CP boost for the duration of the month. Mega Houndoom is one of the best Dark-type attackers in the game, so it’s definitely worth using it against Psychic and Ghost-types.
