Being a commercial publisher is hard work, but someone has to do it. And for 15 years, that’s me. While others find it boring or exhausting to click from site to site or go from store to store in search of great finds, I live for it. For me, there’s nothing better than “shopping around” all day, every day for work.

Given my job, you can imagine I’m tempted to buy much of what I’m responsible for finding for others. I’ve been doing this long enough to have some discipline, but I’m human, and once in a while I shop online like everyone else.

Unlike most people, however, I don’t buy much from Amazon. I like to support small businesses as much as possible, so Amazon is usually not my first stop when shopping. That said, I’ve purchased some truly amazing items from Amazon. Even I can’t deny that the site is full of gems if you can find them. I like to think I’ve discovered a few worth sharing, so take a look at nine of my favorite Amazon purchases below. In fact, I’ve purchased several of these items many times before and would buy them again in a heartbeat.

I am a S’well devotee and have several bottles of the brand. I got tired of putting on and taking off corks, so I bought this S’well Stainless Steel Tumbler with Straw, and it’s amazing. I keep it on my desk while I work and it keeps my drinks cool all day.

KitchenAid All Purpose Scissors with Protective Sheath$8.09 (original $11.99)

Now that it’s warm, I like to open the door to let in the cool air. These Scotch door stops are transparent, which means they match any decor and easily fit under most doors. Plus, the price is so affordable that buying them was a no-brainer.

TriDerma Psoriasis Control Face and Body Cream$14.70

I have tried so many creams and ointments to soothe my daughter’s psoriasis flare-ups. This TriDerma Psoriasis Control face and body cream was the only thing that worked, and I’m so glad I found it. As long as she uses this cream regularly, she no longer has itchy red patches. It really works!

Handmade white bone picture frame$16.99

I like the look of bone inlay decor, but it can be very expensive. When I found this handmade white bone picture frame I was initially skeptical of the quality, but I can say it is beautiful. I now have a few of these frames in different rooms of my house.
