Mumbai: Public broadcaster Prasar Bharati has called for applications to acquire ready-to-use TV content. Applications should be submitted through the Prasar Bharati Content Acquisition Portal by February 7th.

The broadcaster clarified that the content should be aimed at an audience of children and young adults up to the age of 18 in the languages ​​specified on the portal. The applied content must not have been broadcast in whole or in part from a free distribution platform such as DD Free Dish in the territory of India on terrestrial, cable or direct mode within the three calendar years. previous ones.

Content must be approximately half an hour or one hour in length and for a license period of one or three years or on a perpetual basis for multiple TV shows on multiple channels of Doordarshan and must be provided in XDCAM 4: 2 format: 2 on a hard drive. disk.

The applicant is required to submit a non-refundable processing fee of Rs 10,000 plus 18 percent GST in respect of each proposal. Processing fees are not payable with respect to proposals from central government or state government ministries / departments / enterprises.

The holder of the rights to the content that has registered on the content acquisition portal in response to the notification of 11 October 2021 issued under the policy guidelines for the acquisition of ready-to-use audiovisual content under license n do not need to register again.
