Renovated building honors former president of DACC

The teams have completed their renovations to an old vacant Carnegie Library building in Dr. Alice Marie Jacobs Hall on the Danville Area Community College campus.

DACC President Stephen Nacco says the workers did a great job …

{AUDIO: “It’s a beautiful place! A true tribute to – what it is – is a historic building. And Doug Adams is our Executive Director of Facilities, running a Champaign contractor with all local contractors built a magnificent palace. ”}

Dr Nacco says the space will be used for several purposes….

{AUDIO: ” For our liberal arts students, for music students, for performing arts, dramatic arts and really visual arts – painters and sculptors – this will be their playground – from From now. They’re starting to move in, and they’re starting to figure out the fall semester (and) what they’re going to be doing there. ”}

Nacco says that with its polished floors and beautiful dome, the building can be used for many purposes. Indeed, the DACC Foundation will hold its donors’ dinner there in October.
