Piedmont Arts will continue its 60th anniversary celebration on Saturday with Family Day.

The free event will take place in the Gravely-Lester Art Garden from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

“This completely free event is organized to thank our community for their continued support,” Program Director Sarah Short said in a statement. “There is something for everyone, ages 1 to 99, so come spend a few hours or stick around all day and have fun.”

There will be crafts, games, magic workshops and a performance by acrobat / juggler / magician Gypsy Geoff Marsh, who has presented his unique circus stunts and puppet shows at schools, family festivals. and Renaissance fairs all over the world.

The Blue Ridge Regional Library will run an hour of crafts and history, and Hylton’s Woodcooking Grill and Lickin ‘Lizard Ice Cream will offer free refreshments donated by the Harvest Youth Board, the statement said.

The Gravely-Lester Art Garden is located at 207 Starling Ave. in Martinsville. In case of rain, Family Day will be at Piedmont Arts. For more information, visit PiedmontArts.org.
