The NFT Drug Addiction Project

PIXXTASY uses the power of NFTs and blockchain technology to fight addiction and help people recover.

PIXXTASY is the creation of Zoltán Egri, an anti-drug advocate who overcame many hardships through his two-year drug addiction.

Fueled by his dedication to his anti-drug goals fused with cryptocurrency and blockchain technology, he helped form this project to help fund drug recovery programs and NGOs through the sale of NFTs.

PIXXTASY’s goal is to reach out to rehabilitation centers and NGOs that help drug addicts recover; previously, these centers and NGOs struggled to have a strong presence in online communities.

Giving up drugs and opting for recovery is a long and difficult process that requires a lot of support.

“Pixel” and “Ecstasy” inspired PIXXTASY, combining the pixels used in all digital content and displays with the potential euphoria that addicts end up craving.

PIXXTASY was designed to send a message, to teach and help drug addicts.

PIXXTASY uses two slogans to make its goal memorable, they are:

  • “DO NOT USE. JUST THE OWNER. It pushes not to use drugs while holding and possessing the NFTs.
  • “BE A HEALER” This slogan refers to healing and helping rather than dealing drugs.

The PIXXTASY creator described how everything in his life led to the creation of the world’s first anti-drug NFT collection:

“As a brand manager, I have been working from home and the outbreak has given me time to observe the direction the world is heading; this direction is the NFT. Art has always provided me with a different perspective, I’ve created digital content and I aim to keep making more. I’ve been through a lot, I was an employee, a manager, a 5 minute star, a lover, a cheater, a rich man, a drug addict and then I got clean. PIXXTASY was formed due to the combination of events in my life.

Why is PIXXTASY necessary?

The modernization of socialization methods has made it possible to move from real physical socialization to digital socialization, giving way to positive and negative aspects, such as a black market for goods such as drugs that people can buy anonymously.

More and more young people earn their own money and do not depend on their parents or other people. These young people are at risk because they may be inexperienced, naïve, curious and influential, making them an easy target for drug use.

The gap between the younger generation and drug recovery needs to be modernized to help as many people as possible.

One of PIXXTASY’s goals is to make drug use unappealing to young people, like smoking and other life-destroying habits, and to highlight the possible consequences of substance use.

NFT, whitelist and mint from PIXXTASY

PIXXTASY’s NFT Collection will be minted on September 7, 2022. Those interested in purchasing one can sign up for PIXXTASY’s whitelist which begins August 31, 2022.

Anyone on the whitelist can be randomly selected and allowed to purchase any of PIXXTASY’s NFTs.

All NFTs will be limited edition and hand-drawn by a professional artist, making them both more unique and desirable than mass-produced NFTs.

Artwork is designed to resemble current pop culture icons, such as Hello Kitty, Bitcoin, Star Wars and many more; relatable but unique.

The other reason for these designs is that real drugs are often fashioned into pop culture icons, allowing PIXXTASY to raise awareness of what illegal drugs can look like and their associated dangers due to unknown content.

Funds earned from NFT sales will help charities that deal with anti-drug campaigns and drug recovery programs to operate and reach more people. PIXXTASY will support the work of 11 non-profit organizations and rehabilitation centers around the world using $1,000,000 of project proceeds.
