Main events

Ellicottville Fall Festival, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, October 9, with food court open until 10 a.m. 10 am to 5 pm Sunday, October 10 in the village of Ellicottville, 9 W. Washington St. Free; chairlift rides cost $ 10.

Fall Fest is lightly stripped down this year, with no carnival rides and fewer vendors, but most attendees won’t notice much of a difference in activity on the main stretch of the village. The Holiday Valley celebration also has some changes; the project to build a new chairlift has moved the party to the top of the mountain – a popular vantage point for fall foliage – to the top of the Morning Star lift.

Letchworth Arts & Crafts Show & Sale, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, October 9-10 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, October 11 Perry Village Park, 120 Lake St., Perry. Parking costs $ 10, but the festival is free.

A regional destination for both enjoying the fall scenery and browsing the works of 200 arts and crafts vendors, the Letchworth Show is miles away from Perry. Pay attention to parking and shuttle information on, and entertainment maps and details on, then enjoy the beauty of a rural getaway in high season.
