LAURINBURG – Vendor applications for SpringFest 2022 in downtown Laurinburg are open.
SpringFest will take place April 29-30 and vendors will be accepted now for Saturday’s Spring Art Festival.
“We are accepting applications from vendors for craft, food and non-profit organizations,” said Myra Stone, director of marketing for the Laurinburg-Scotland County Chamber of Commerce. “Craft vendors have a $30 fee and food vendors have a $50 fee, but we don’t charge our nonprofits. We will be accepting applications until April 20 and if we receive applications after that we will charge a late fee in addition to the application fee.
Stone added this year that they hope to attract around 75 vendors to downtown streets.
“We’re really excited about this event this year and hopefully it will be our biggest yet,” Stone said. “We’re going to have so many fun activities during the day like the community art exhibit, music and all the vendors.”
The two-day event also includes the first Laurinburg After 5 of the season on Friday and the Scotland Memorial Foundation FUNd Run which kicks off Saturday morning activities.
The FUNd Run is accepting entries for the 5K and 1-mile Spirit Walk. There are also sponsorship opportunities for the event and spirit markers to honor someone are also available.
The FUNd Run is presented by Service Thread this year and all proceeds raised will go to help some of Scotland Health Care’s critical needs such as the Diabetes Education Fund and the Cancer Centre.
